NEW SCHEDULER SYSTEM
As of December 1st, the Pro Shop's Julia Fountain will be creating the Monday foursomes. Golfers will still have to sign-up in the pink binder for Monday play. All sign-ups MUST be in the binder by the end of the day on the Friday before. Cancellations of play MUST be in by the end of the day on the Saturday before. Once all of the names are set up, Julia will arrange the foursomes. She will have the final say on who plays with whom and what hole to start on.
The reason for this change is so that we get to play with all other members and with golfers at different levels in the hope that the more experienced golfers will give gentle suggestions to the new golfers. Keep in mind when you play in Exchanges and Interclubs the foursomes are made up of A, B, C, and D level golfers. Hopefully that will be how our Monday morning foursomes pan out.
Of course, illness and bad weather can initiate a phone call to the Pro Shop before 8:00 am on Monday morning for a cancellation. Julia will also be calling either Ann or Chris if there is a delay start due to weather. So on cold and rainy days always check your email before heading out.
Be at your cart and ready to play by 9:15 a.m.
Email Julia Fountain at julia.fountain@yahoo.com if you are unable to play.
EVENTS, NOTES, AND OTHER STUFF
"YEAR-END MEETING - Minutes"- We started off going around the room with everyone introducing themselves and stating if they were an officer of the nine hole group.
- Everyone received their name tag to keep. It is now your responsibility to wear them at events and if you lose it you will be charged for a replacement.
- Ann Schneider reviewed our year in review. She stated all of our accomplishments and all of the Exchanges, Interclubs, and Play Aways that we participated in and hosted.
- Ann also spoke of some of the concerns from some of the members; e.g. pace of play and etiquette issues. She also gave some tips on faster play.
- The 'Birdie Club' was explained. The Wednesday 9 Holer group will also be included in the birdie program. Janet Koertge stated that there were 17 birdies this past year. She distributed the birdie pins and the birdie towels for the ladies who got two birdies.
- Julia Fountain in the Pro Shop is going to start scheduling our foursomes starting in December. Her goal is to have everyone play with one another. Everyone playing should be signed up by the Saturday before the Monday play.
- Starting in January non Cedar Creek members will be paying $20 instead of the current $23.
- Kenny Evenson, the Cedar Creek teaching pro, gave a
presentation. He told us how he got into golf and how he learned golf
etiquette. Things like walking in
someone else's lie on the green and talking while someone else is hitting were
not good etiquette. He went over some of
the more common rules and penalties. PLAY
FAST, HAVE FUN!😃

- We voted on using our extra funds in our treasury. We voted on beautifying the entrance to the Pro Shop including having hand rails installed by the steps. This would be done by Gary and his staff. Painting and sprucing up the bathrooms on the front 9 was also voted on. Painting the pro shop doors would be included in that project with the extra paint.
- Ann encouraged everyone to sign up for the upcoming activities.
- The first Interclub of 2017 will be held on April 17th at Cedar Creek. This will be the first time that the Interclub will be at Cedar Creek.Mary Haring, Recording Secretary
